What is included in the Wedding preset?
The wedding preset includes: Venue, Catering, Decoration, Photography & Videography, Music / DJ / Band, Invitations, Bridal Attire, Groom Attire, Jewellery, Mehendi, Honeymoon, and Miscellaneous. These cover the main spending categories for an Indian wedding.
How do I track actual spending?
As you pay vendors, enter the actual amount spent in the "Actual" column. The planner automatically calculates the variance — positive variance (green) means under budget, negative (red) means over budget.
Can I add categories that are not in the preset?
Yes. Use the "Add category" field at the bottom to add any custom category. You can also delete preset categories that are not relevant to your event.
What is the typical budget breakdown for an Indian wedding?
Rough percentages: Catering 30–40%, Venue 15–20%, Decoration 10–15%, Photography 8–12%, Attire & Jewellery 10–15%, Music & Entertainment 5–8%, Miscellaneous 5–10%. Costs vary widely between cities and budget tiers.
Is my data saved between sessions?
No. Data is stored in memory only for the current browser session. Use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P) to save a copy of the planner as a PDF before closing the tab.
